The Attuned Titration Approach is a novel therapeutic intervention that combines ultra-low dose 5meo DMT, Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, and meditation techniques to create a safe, gentle, and short-acting method for facilitating personal growth and healing through finely calibrated psychedelic experiences, all within the time it takes for a traditional therapy session.

About the ATA

The Attuned Titration Approach (ATA) has been developed utilizing three distinct cutting edge technologies.
1. The newly discovered ability to create highly refined titrations of 5meo DMT, down to nearly sub-perceptible strengths.

2. Internal Family Systems therapy, an ever expanding therapeutic modality that has rewritten how psychology navigates healing and psychedelic therapy. And,

3. Shinzen Young’s meditation system, which has created a skeleton key for bringing deep mindfulness into every facet of our lives.

The combination is both novel and scalable, if great care is taken to honor the fundamental principles that underlie the method.

Why the Attuned Titration Approach could deeply impact psychedelic therapy:

  • Because this medicine is extremely short-acting (3-15 minutes,) an IFS patient/ client could have a significant experience and time to integrate it within the standard 1 hour therapy window.

  • Because this form of the medicine can be titrated down to 1:64 strength (or lower,) extremely fine grain adjustments can be made without overwhelming the patient/ client's nervous system. (The next closest option would be IV Ketamine which has a 40 minute adjustment period and requires medical supervision to monitor and manage the invasive process.)

Why the Attuned Titration Approach is well matched with IFS:

  • This approach emphasizes helping a client develop a visceral (bodily) awareness of the calm side of their nervous system (an embodied IFS approach) and helping develop a relationship between the Self and quieter parts that will necessarily arise as an unfamiliar experience is gently introduced. Because that unfamiliar (often sub-psychedelic) experience can be titrated based on the subtle needs of the client’s quiet parts, this method creates a unique opportunity for Self leadership and inner attunement.

  • In its subtlest form, this medicine tends to consistently deliver one of two experiences:
    1. a direct experience of embodied Self energy.
    2. a direct experience of an apart that feels disconnected from Self energy, often exiles.

  • Because this medicine seems to infuse the patient/ client with Self energy, this approach has the capacity to allow access to exiles, sometimes without needing to negotiate with as many protectors. And yet this does not tend to create a snap back effect that bypassing those protectors might, as when large doses are used.

The Attuned Titration Approach is a potentially pivotal psychedelic therapy due to its short acting nature, allowing nearly instantaneous dosing adjustment and integration time, all within a standard therapy session. It allows for nervous-system attuned, fine-grain adjustments promoting the patient/client to deepen Self leadership and attuned dialog with exiles, thus fostering deeply integrated inner consent and harmony. It tends to deliver either a direct experience of embodied Self energy or gentle exposure to inner burdens, without causing the protector’s to snap-back, an effect often reported with larger psychedelic experiences.
